One Click Videos with ChatGPT

Turn a natural-language request into a video brief using a private GPT Action.

Configure a private integration

  1. Create a GPT in a ChatGPT account with GPT Actions available.
  2. Add an Action and import the OpenAPI JSON schema.
  3. Configure API-key authentication using Bearer authorization. Enter the JEMSU key in the Action’s authentication settings, not its instructions.
  4. Keep the GPT private when using a key tied to your own billing account.
  5. Test the read-only getCredits operation before asking it to create a billable video.

Suggested instructions

Use One Click Videos to generate videos when requested.
Collect the idea, duration, format and relevant references.
Explain that generation uses account credits.
Call createVideo once for an authorized request; save jobId.
Use getVideoStatus to check progress. Return videoUrl only after completion.
If create times out, list recent videos before considering a retry.
Do not claim that generation is immediate or that this API publishes to social accounts.

Keep creation and completion separate

The Action receives a job ID before rendering finishes. Use a later status call or an external polling worker to retrieve the result. Do not hold a long tool call open while the video renders.

A GPT using one API key acts on that key owner’s account and credits. Sharing it publicly requires a separate account-isolation and authorization design.

GPT Actions can connect custom GPTs to REST APIs through an API schema and configured authentication. See OpenAI’s GPT Actions documentation.
